while waiting for cr2 cells(must be popular-almost as long a wait as laser itself!) i got it working with a 14500 cell with spacers, so laser works down to about 4v, and up to ~7v, still burns at 4v so driver is probably a constant current driver with some kind of feedback
laser burns instantly, in fact i can move it around slowly(at about 5" away), maybe half inch per second on black plastic and it leaves a trail of continuous smoke-but a laser this small and powerful heats up a lot, i only use it in short 10 sec bursts for longer life, not like some who turn it on continuously for 5 mins and then wonder why it won't work anymore!

Re 3.6-9v input in specifications, through testing it has been established that the driver is optimized to work with 18650 cells, CR123/RCR123 cells 'can' be used but higher voltage causes excessive current draw that may damage led or shorten its life bigtime, what ever the reason, thermal runaway, incorrect driver choice/buggy driver etc just use 18650 and you'll be happy, they last longer anyway

Bottomline: One of the better ones-buttons are easy to push unlike some other reviewed units-why buy a simple remote when you can get an alarm watch + calculator thrown in too!

Pros: -Comfortable grip for slr cameras, most weigh about .6-1kg depending on lens, after a while your fingers ache, but not with this as it spreads weight across whole hand
-Fully adjustable straps

Cons: Base plate is plastic(but thick), when on tripod its not the most stable

Other Thoughts: Above average quality for a grip, camera does feel secure

Bottomline: Get it, your fingers will thank you

Cons: -Don't know if this is normal but charge end point seems to vary, first fast charge with new cells was ~45mins, 2nd fast charge still going at ~90mins, took out and cells were 4.18v, put back in and red light went to green straight away, this charger needs to be supervised with unprotected cells, protected are ok

Other Thoughts: Cheap multi charger, just keep an eye on it, not particularly fast(adapter is just 450ma) but cells would last longer i think, also power adapter needs pin adapter(not supplied)

Bottomline: It charges multiple cells and is cheap so its popular

Cons: -Did'nt work for my tv, but ok for friends tv
-Watch is large and thick-unless you have really big biceps(like me) it looks out of place

-Mine was exactly as pictured, but better, light transparent blue instead of grey

Cons: -Not the fastest sd card reader, but does job admirably

Other Thoughts: I needed a sd card reader for my hdd pmp host function, multi card reader wont work propery(because of multiple drive letters)
