Pros: - Strong, sturdy plastic.- Fits 2x18650's protected or not, there is room for both.- Fits 4x CR123A's, though I don't have any.- Sturdy latches and hinges have stood up to a few months' usage.- Great price for a set of two.
Cons: - 18650's have a little "wiggle room" when in there, so can rattle around.
Other Thoughts: - I got these when they were first listed, so can't comment on if the quality has changed (other users state broken hinges/clasps)
Bottomline: - If you have 18650's or CR123A's everywhere and need to keep things organized, these are a great deal.
Pros: - Sturdy metal construction.- Sleek design.
Cons: - Doesn't hold too much. Currently fit about 9 plastic cards - you can get more or less in depending on if they have raised bumps or are flat.- The clasp doesn't always catch when I have it stuffed full. A little bend helped that.
Other Thoughts: - If using for business cards, it is great. For credit/bank/etc cards, it does the job just as long as you have <10 cards to carry around with you.
Bottomline: - For the price, why not? I use it to hold my credit/bank/ID/etc cards instead of a bulky wallet that took up a lot of space even when empty. This takes up half the space of the wallet leaving me more room for other things in my pocket.
Pros: - Plays videos without needing to convert.- TV out.- Play SNES, NES, GBA, and many more.- LINUX SUPPORT! (Dingux) to use (theoretically) infinite number of apps, games, and emulators.- Plays MP3's (probably other formats too) and radio with preset station memory.- Long battery life- SDHC support (haven't tested >8gb)
Cons: - Y+B buttons cannot be used simultaneously (software problem, fixed by using an emulator in dingux)- Some SNES games can slow down a bit in emulation (again, fixed in dingux)
Other Thoughts: - Installing dingux is easier than ever with the "complete idiot's guide to installing dingux" which opens the door to many possibilities on the dingoo.
Bottomline: - If you need a music/video player and ROM support, get this. You will not be disappointed. Now that there is open linux support, ultimately any game with a linux emulator could be made to run on the dingoo!
Pros: - Pretty large size.- Solid metal construction.- More or less accurate to the zangetsu image.
Cons: - Chain connecting blade to keyring might be a little weak.- The links in the chain are poorly soldered or crimped together.
Other Thoughts: - Not too much you can say about a keychain, other than it looks nice and performs its function (fill space on your key ring?).- I suppose it might be considered a weapon in some places.. something to keep in mind.
Bottomline: - Good for you bleach fans out there, or just as a random item for your keychain.
Pros: - Two bright, white LED's - Single "blue"/"violet" (UV) LED- Solar recharge means no more searching for the right battery types.- Nice, sturdy plastic frame.
Cons: - Not rubberized like the 3-UV led version :(- Two separate buttons would be better than having to cycle through.
Other Thoughts: - One press for UV, another press for two white, and third to turn off.
Bottomline: - Great for a combo UV+White light with solar.- Get this and throw it in your car, etc. and have light when you need it (just keep it on the dash so it can stay charged.. glove box is no good :p)
Pros: - Easy open function is ideal for kids or for communicating the combo to someone.- Nice, sturdy construction.
Cons: - Can't change the code. But I knew that based on other reviews/forums.- 4 digit code, not 3, but I knew that from the pictures.
Other Thoughts: - Hard to find in-stores here, so glad that DX has it.- Probably not as secure as a traditional spin combination lock, but there are still thousands of combinations to go through.Best for things that aren't valuable (i.e. just for at the gym.. not for something like a laptop.)
Bottomline: - Great buy.
Pros: - Super tiny.- Low price- Works with windows (XP) native BT stack. None of this bluesoleil business.
Cons: - Difficulty getting things to work at first, but it all worked out in the end.
Other Thoughts: - About as good as sku 754 I bought a while back, but this is like 1/10 as big.- Intend to use it with my bluetooth OBD-II reader to gather some data.
Bottomline: - Great price for a BT adapter, and it's realllly small.- Grab a couple for all of your computers/devices that will accept bluetooth dongles. At this price, you can leave them plugged in anywhere and connect without needing to put in an adapter.
Pros: - Great price for a precision ruler.- Includes both metric and imperial markings- Resolution to 0.5mm for the first 5cm, 1mm thereafter- 1/2 inch worth of precision markings on the imperial side - 50th and 64th's of an inch.- Durable steel.
Cons: - A little bent. Not sure if that's from the mail or not.- Difficult to remove from the sleeve the first time due to friction/suction- Only 15.5cm, but there is a longer sku available.
Other Thoughts: - Good to have around, cheaper than buying one of these locally.
Bottomline: - If you need a metal ruler with precision markings, this is the one to get.
Pros: - Store all your kinds of batteries (except 18650's, I guess.. but That's another sku!)- Good quality, doesn't feel "cheap"
Cons: - the smaller 2-battery case looks like 2AAA, but really it fits 2AA. (not really a con, but I bought it thinking it was AAA size :p
Other Thoughts: - Grab a couple sets and keep yourself organized. Perhaps label one set "charged" and the other "dead" or something, so you know if the batteries are good to go or not.
Bottomline: - Must have for that pile of batteries you have sitting around for all of your gadgets.Add in sku 18074 and you've got your 18650's covered too.
Pros: -Sturdy metal chopsticks, fork, spoon.-Fancy pattern on the handle of fork and spoon.-Compact, yet not too small (size of utensils).-Case made of sturdy plastic.
Cons: -Hard to get back into the case.-'head' of fork and spoon could be a bit larger - very small bites :p-The chopsticks unscrew pretty easily as you are using them.
Other Thoughts: -Good to have around in your lunch or in the car, etc.
Bottomline: -Great little pack to carry with you for when you need a set of utensils.-Get a couple and give them to your friends.
Pros: -Uses less than 1W of power (measured with a watt meter at the socket)-Should last longer than my other bulbs (only had it a few months now, though)
Cons: -Not very bright. It's fine for a desk lamp, but not to light a room with.
Other Thoughts: -More of a spotlight than flood light, great for small-area usage-Doesn't seem to be of the brightest 22,000mcd LED's - that would probably improve things greatly.
Bottomline: -Will still pay for itself in electricity savings if you're using an incandescent. If you're using a CFL, you're probably better off with what you've got or try another LED bulb ;)
Pros: -Nice and large.-150 cm wide and 90cm tall-Looks and feels sturdy (although thin, see below)-Accurate (not that there's much to be designed wrong on our flag :p
Cons: -Pretty thin, almost see-through.-Made of vinyl (or polyester?) (not cloth)-see through the white band with the metal re-inforced eyes: you can see frayed red edges behind.
Other Thoughts: -Good deal for a flag of this size
Bottomline: -Buy it if you want to have a flag of Canada, whether you live here or not :pCertainly worth the money.
Pros: -10 batteries for a low price-all batteries i've used so far had the correct voltage, arrived "fresh"- cheaper than buying from local stores where a single one of these batteries would probably cost more than DX
Cons: -package could be a bit smaller, considering the size of the batteries.. a lot of excess cardboard/plastic could be trimmed to lower the cost and save space.
Other Thoughts: -Get these if you think your watch may need a replacement soon and you won't have to wait two weeks before you can use it when it does die ;)
Bottomline: -Power your watch(es) for years to come for less than the cost of one or two of these batteries bought locally.
Pros: -Decent price-Much lower danger of explosion than other lithium chemistries! (nothing is ever 100% safe, though :p)
Cons: -Half the capacity of the standard lithium cells sold here.
Other Thoughts: -Might be half the capacity, but more-or-less half the cost as well, and safer, so I guess these are a better choice.-Sku 1236 on 3.0v mode with an external apparatus charges these well, in roughly 4 hours.
Bottomline: -Get these if you're worried about "safety" of the cells - these are more durable and are less likely to have an incident happen.
Pros: -Charges both 3.0v and 3.6v/3.7v lithium batteries.-Can be used for CR123's or others (more on that below)
Cons: -Perhaps expensive for being such a small/CR123 only charger.-pretty slow to charge - ~2hours for CR123 and ~4 for 18650 (below)
Other Thoughts: -Can be used with LiFePO4's like sku 1879.-When using a non-CR123a size, I just made an "external" adapter using some alligator clips and some rare earth magnets to maintain connectivity to the battery. Works like a charm. Took about 4 hours to charge one cell of sku 1879.-When charging, the light is red with a constant flicker to green and back to red. Changes to solid green when no battery is connected, or when fully charged.
Bottomline: Great multi-use charger, and seems to be the only one usable with sku 1879 (using apparatus described above)
Pros: -Good size, about 21.5cm by 12.5cm-Seems to be of thicker plastic than the NDS screen protectors I have-does not use adhesive
Cons: -a little hard to get perfect without bubbles, but possible-A little expensive for a sheet of plastic.
Other Thoughts: -Good for 10" UMPC's, or even as a protector for my touchscreen panel purchased here.-Could be cut to size to fit other screens, if desired.
Bottomline: -Okay price, great protector, especially if you have a 10" UMPC and want to prevent scratches-especially useful for touchscreens, which are often prone to scratching.
Pros: -Fits not only NDS screens, but the active area of GBA screens (they're the same size - GBA just has a larger black border)-When used for GBA, get two replacements in one package!
Cons: -Perhaps a little expensive for two tiny pieces of plastic and a scrap of cleaning cloth.-become scratched a bit more easily than my old GBA protector.
Other Thoughts: -Easy to apply, just use a flat object and apply with firm, uniform pressure as you lay it on across the screen
Bottomline: -Good to consider if you need a protector for your old GBA, but can't seem to find an appropriate protector elsewhere-Okay price - does the job: protect your screen.
Pros: -Use your mountain of AA's you have around in place of C's-Use cheaper AA rechargeables instead of expensive C rechargeables (that also need a larger charger)-Great price (for 5!)
Cons: -AA's are a little longer than C batteries, so not a perfect fit-it is questionable as to how long the hinges will hold up, but a piece of tape should hold them easily if the hinges fail.
Other Thoughts: -These do NOT impede the connection between my AA's (rechargeables) because of the plastic-plastic contact on either end.-Make sure your AA's have the standard "post" or "bump" on the positive side--if it's too short, they may not contact.-Most items that take C batteries often have large springs in the battery bay, so the extra mm of the AA vs C battery should not be a problem for most devices.
Bottomline: Get these, some of the D converters, and rechargeable AA's, and you're all set for most type of batteries. (Now we just need a capacitor system or something for 9v!)
Pros: -Large size - this can easily be used on items like large turkeys and still reach the centre.-Thick, sturdy probe. Doesn't look like it's going to break anytime soon.-Excellent build quality.
Cons: -This thermometer takes a while to sweep a long range (i.e. room temp to boiling), much like a traditional liquid thermometer.
Other Thoughts: -The decal is... interesting. but who cares? :)-Celsius or Fahrenheit is just a button push away.
Bottomline: -Great thermometer for the price. Quite accurate, too. Ice was 0.2C and boiling water 99.8C
Pros: - LOTS of dice- come in various colours: white, blue, purple, green, pink, yellow- quick estimation tells me there are in fact ~100
Cons: - perhaps too small?- one was severely deformed, almost a triangular pyramid in shape - perhaps a defect fell in by accident.- Price is perhaps a little high, considering that they don't weigh, and they're probably very cheap to manufacture.
Other Thoughts: I never really realized how small these were until I saw them. I can read "5mm" and imagine the size, but they seem so much smaller in front of me :p
Bottomline: Fun little bag of dice to play with, decorate something with, or throw at people - whatever!
Pros: - Nice sturdy case.- high build quality- accurate (as far as I can tell.) - has individual markings for all of the degrees as well as cardinal symbols
Cons: - technically fluid filled (air is a fluid), but I would expect water or alcohol when something is advertised as "fluid filled" ;)- could be a 'pro', since something filled with water/alcohol must be completely filled - air bubbles will mess things up.
Other Thoughts: It has the cardinal directions as well as degree markers for every 5 degrees, labelled every 20 degrees.
Bottomline: This is probably the best compass on DX, since it actually works, and does not have air bubbles to mess up the needle.
Pros: - high capacity- capacity actually close to rated- charge at a reasonable rate (~3 hours for 4 using my soshine charger - SC-C3 model)- Comes with a bonus 4xAA plastic case (green)
Cons: - no cons that I can think of- I suppose a con could be that they are not LSD batteries (but I don't need those, anyway)
Other Thoughts: Great batteries, great price. You may also want to invest in a good charger.
Bottomline: If you need AA's and use them pretty frequently, these are for you. They hold their charge fairly well, if you don't use them for a while, too.
Pros: Save money on those D batteries. Use your rechargeable AA's and save the environment, instead of using primary D's. (Or save money by using cheap rechargeable AA's instead of expensive rechargeable D's + charger to fit them)
Cons: The hinge and clasp are probably a little weak and will break some day soon.Nothing a little duct tape won't fix! ;)
Other Thoughts: Great item, can't find them anywhere in store here (of course not.. they want you to buy the D's - more money!)
Bottomline: Get these for all of your D-battery needs.
Pros: Cheap cloths. They do an excellent job cleaning things without scratching. I've used them on glasses, LCD screens, windows, whatever.Just give them a rinse and let them dry and they're good as new. They are a considerable size, and you get 6 for such a low price!
Cons: The colours are more faded/pastel looking than in the photos, but I don't really care - these are for function, not looks.
Other Thoughts: Useful for pretty much anyone. Keep a spare wherever you might need one - car, kitchen, backpack, etc.
Bottomline: Great cloths for the price, I know have far too many to ever use. (Bulkrate :p)
Pros: For its size, the price is quite good.It is hard plastic - not stickers as some can be.That's about it for the pro's.
Cons: The build quality is horrendous.(Okay, maybe not THAT bad.)The tiles are rarely straight, maybe 3 per side are straight, if lucky. It is quite hard to spin at times, though that could just be subtle misalignment when spinning it.
Other Thoughts: Would be perfect if the tiles were on properly and straight. It's not identical to the high quality ones in stores; you won't be beating any speed records with this.
Bottomline: Good for the price, but you get what you pay for! ;)
Pros: Very sturdy metal, painted/coating to prevent rust.Includes 3 different size hex wrench sides, a philips screwdriver (+ or x shape) and a bottle opener all in one.
Cons: Logo is kinda meh. I guess if you're a fan of the brand its fine.. but I could do without out.Only comes in black. More colours would be nice.
Other Thoughts: Great price, its the cheapest bottle opener here, and you get extra tools + the opener, which I bought it for.It has a ring in the corner to put it on a keychain, etc., very handy.
Bottomline: Best price for such a handy tool. Even if you're like me and need a bottle opener once in a blue moon, the other tools will make this more handy.
Pros: Arrived in one piece (first try) - that's always good. Software is excellent. I don't have a 7" monitor, so i'm using it like a tablet. You can use fingers, stylus, whatever. It is quite accurate, does the job. The software lets you set any portion of the screen to be active with the tablet. A corner, a half, a rectangle 100 pixels to the left and 200pixels down of 160x100 or whatever, the combination is endless.
Cons: Will probably get damaged easily if you're not putting it in a 7" monitor casing. I'd suggest a 5x7 photo frame or something (its halfway between a 4x6 and a 5x7 ~4.25 x 6.5
Other Thoughts: Be sure to calibrate the screen after any changes. Depending on the orientation of the tablet, you calibrate it to read properly whether vertical or horizontal. Just hold down on the corner indicated until it beeps, and repeat for the 4 corners it asks.
Bottomline: Great buy for a 7" touchscreen or as a cheap tablet (which can be used in the future for a 7" monitor, or can be used for a partial touchscreen when placed over a larger monitor)
Pros: Great feel, build quality, very sturdy.Looks like a very professional microphone.Sound quality is excellent, It can be ~5 feet away and still record voices with minimal interference (they are much quieter than up close, of course)
Cons: A hiss can be heard when recording low sounds - most likely background noise audible moreso once you up the volume/amplify the sound to hear the quieter voices that were recorded. (So really, not a con)
Other Thoughts: May or may not be good for low-volume recordings (which will then be amplified/increase the volume)It is all dependent on background noise
Bottomline: Blows away any microphone you can get for this price in Canada. (by 100 fold)
Pros: Nice shock from it, about equivalent to the laser pointer. Looks somewhat like a real pen
Cons: Perhaps a bit big to pass off as a standard pen - it doesn't look expensive enough to pass off as a 'professional' pen, which are often thicker. Shock diminishes after a while (to be expected) Doesn't have AAA power. Would've been nice, since I have like 12 rechargeable AAA's. Did not give a shock at first, until I disassembled it and put it back together (I made no other changes.. must've just been a loose connection)
Other Thoughts: Funny gag, especially if you get someone unspecting of it.
Bottomline: Great buy for some laughs - can't beat the price.
Pros: Plug and play - just plug it in and go - XP recognizes it instantly.Solid construction, seems like it will hold up well.Blue colour matches my psx/N64 adapter (which I hope DX will carry some day!)
Cons: Its either USB or controllers, can't use both, unfortunately. No marking as to which is player 1 or player 2Have yet to get rumble working - probably just software (game) problems.
Other Thoughts: Use your PS2 controllers to play PC games (Why buy the one with the USB cord attached, when you can use the "real" one?)You may need to calibrate using the control panel -> game adapters
Bottomline: Good buy, you can have 4 player games with 2 of these and only 2 USB ports - others you'd need 4.
Pros: Fits 9-LED flashlights (3xAAA ones)Sides seem pretty solid, somewhat stretchy
Cons: A bit of a tight fit for 9-LED lights (I have sku 1255)Bottom poorly constructed - one ripped upon inserting the flashlight. However, the flashlight is a snug fit, it probably wouldn't fall out if the bottom were removed.
Other Thoughts: Improved bottom would make these a perfect companion to sku 1255.Belt loop and ring at the top are nicely placed, making them useful for belt use or clip to things.
Bottomline: Good for generic use - not the highest quality, but does the job, and for the price, it is adequate quality
Pros: Nice bright laser - I don't own other pointers, but it seems to be quite good for being such a low price.Amusing joke - just remember which button's which!
Cons: Shock isn't really that strong - it could be me however. I have yet to trick someone else into using it
Other Thoughts: Great joke if you can get someone to use it.Even if they hit the bottom button first, curiosity will probably make them try the other button and get a shock
Bottomline: Functional and funny - laser pointer and a shock gag for when you can get someone to use it.
Pros: Nice length, cable seems of sturdy quality.Compact size excellent price, about 2/3 the price of one on a super-bargain sale here, normally cost about 5x more than this.Cable fits nicely into the ethernet ports.
Cons: Mechanism can be tricky to rewind, will probably not last long.
Other Thoughts: To give it credit: these devices are normally tricky to wind up as it is, and this one is probably better than my other one (bought locally) in terms of ease of use.
Bottomline: Good price, good cable, great if you're a laptop user constantly having to move around (like me, university student)If you need more length, you could hook two together, or just roll up your cable each time and not be lazy (the only reason I bought one of these.. ;)
Pros: Nice sturdy design, feels like it will last.Solid piece - smooth tip, no danger of scratching (no ill effects seen.. yet)
Cons: Smaller than I expected, but then again, I didn't read the dimensions.
Other Thoughts: Great styli for the price. Can't comment on fit in any particular device, as I didn't buy them for any specific model.Would go great with the touch panel sold here, or the touch screen phones, mp4 players, etc.
Bottomline: Great buy if you need some extra styli around for whatever touch-screen item you may have.
Pros: Adjustable lens, flexible input power, very small size.NTSC res, with sound (not tested, but has the plug for it).
Cons: Poor picture (if any) in low light.Very bright light results in washed video,a happy medium produces the best picture.IR LED's are fake - don't do anything.
Other Thoughts: An external IR source would make it an excellent night vision camera.
Bottomline: Good camera for its size/price, though don't expect the best picture in the world. You can get much better if you bump up your price range.
Pros: Great cables, much cheaper than local shops.Length is as stated.
Cons: One has clips, one did not, seems like the supply changes randomly.
Other Thoughts: Mine were blue, one with clips on one end, one with no clips at all. The supply will probably change again, so at the very least, expect to get one without clips, and who cares about colour? ;)
Bottomline: Get a few for cheap and keep them on hand, because you never know when you might decide you need a new drive, or perhaps your existing cable will stop working for whatever reason.
Pros: ~18cm in length, useful for PSU's without sata connectors.Almost the same length as the 20cm version, for considerably less - a great buy.
Cons: A little difficult to get onto the cable to the PSU, but that could just be my PSU.
Other Thoughts: Good to keep a few on hand for the future - never know when you'll need one, especially since most PSU's do not include many (if any) sata connectors.
Bottomline: Excellent to keep on hand for future expansion / cable failure / whatever may come up.At this price, buy a couple, you never know.
Pros: 20cm from tip to tip - should be sufficient to reach any drive - especially since this is an adapter.
Cons: Not really much longer than the "sata power cable" sku 9809 - ~18cm for that one.If you're not going to need the length, i suggest checking out the other cable.
Other Thoughts: Good to have around for when you need it - most PSU's don't include any of these - perhaps maybe 1-2 SATA connectors and the rest are not.
Bottomline: Get this or sku 9809 and keep one or two on hand, you never now if you'll need it in the future - and at this price, it's a good filler for an order. It may be a good idea to keep a few SATA data cables around, too.
Pros: Has every port you'll ever need.Easy to hook up, just a USB header, two sata cables, firewire header, and audio header.Has a power LED so you know it's hooked up properly.Comes with three faceplates (black, white, silver) - black preattached.Nice solid construction - very sturdy box.Packaging was excellent, came in a static-free bag, with the faceplates and some screws.
Cons: Power LED is very bright red. If you change the faceplate, I suggest putting something over the LED to dim it/block it out completely.Card reader speeds (SD) are not the fastest. I tested 4MB/s versus 11MB/s using my external USB reader. (same card used for both tests)
Other Thoughts: Changing the faceplate is easy, just carefully pry it off and put on the colour you require. You only need to plug in one USB header to use the USB ports and the card reader.(if you don't use the rest, you don't need to have them plugged in)
Bottomline: Excellent card reader bay - especially if you have a silver case like me - hard to find silver items.
Pros: Uses SD cards up to 4gb (or so the 'manual' says) - I've used up to 2gb successfully. It automatically scans the card for any music - no need to pick folders and such.Plays excellent sound quality, works flawlessly with my fm transmitter.
Cons: Cannot use subfolders - it automatically scans for all music and compiles one huge list.No name support, but that's not important to me - I use it in the car with a transmitter - not looking at the screen of it.
Other Thoughts: Has different equalizer modes and random, repeat, all, etc.All of this information is in the "manual" included.I like the option of removable media - allows me to switch my music whenever - just pop in a different card. (Theoretically, unlimited storage)
Bottomline: Great player to use if you have a whole bunch of SD cards laying around like me.
Pros: Great airflow for the size (obviously you can't compare it to a 120mm fan)Build quality seems excellentCompact - bought it to fit in a tight corner of my case (not as a direct-screw in chipset fan)
Cons: Cable could perhaps be a bit longer. It is ~20cm, JUST enough to reach where I needed it to - the SYS fan header is on the opposite side of the board :p
Other Thoughts: The holes allow for screws to sit flush, or, as I used it, to string a cable through to suspend it over a desired area.
Bottomline: Great fan for the price - excellent flow.
Pros: VERY bright light - I can hold it in the dark stairwell and it will light up the whole thing - very impressive for one LED.Runs on ag13's - cheap and easy to find (even on DX - huge packs for cheap)
Cons: Button quality questionable - one works perfect, one is a little 'picky'. pressing up (towards the tip of the glass tube) and in on the button seems to help. The light is blue, but the centre is green? (little plastic vanes on the inside which help spread the light out) - might look better if they were all the same colour - or perhaps clear plastic on the inside for some fibre optic effect)Perhaps too large for a keychain.
Other Thoughts: Great little toy (bought it just for fun), but could also have uses in signalling, as suggested.
Bottomline: Great little toy, great price, fun to play with.
Pros: VERY bright - that 1 LED can light up anything you'll need it for.Fairly compact size, easy to fit anywhere. There are screws to take it apart and change batteries if needed (someone said you had to throw it away - not true.
Cons: They can be hard to turn on... until you flick the switch ;)If the switch is in the "off" position, you press hard and it will turn on. In the "on" position, a featherlight touch will turn it on. (not really cons, I don't see any.)
Other Thoughts: They're dirt cheap (less than 50 cents each.. can't beat that)Remember to keep the switch in the off/hard to press position in order to stop accidental battery drain.
Bottomline: Excellent buy - keep a few around the house or give to people for their keychains.
Pros: Great reader, fast speeds, supports SDHC-i got blue, not brown! :Dhas worked with any card i've tried in it so far..
Cons: Cards just slide in. A click-lock mechanism would make this the ultimate reader. It is quite wide, so much so that I can't use it on one port of my laptop without an extension cable (the port goes vertically instead of horizontally)The back cover snaps on and has a plastic hinge. I doubt this hinge will stand up to repeated abuse.
Other Thoughts: Good reader, price could probably be lower, but its good quality.
Bottomline: Get this if you need a card reader, and want SDHC for an OK price (its still cheaper than ones sold in stores locally)
Pros: Accepts Mini-SD up to at least 2gb (I havent tried SDHC yet)has played all the games i've used in it so far, no slowdowns (that i've had) as someone said... the game gets loaded into memory first on the chip and then you play it...
Cons: It fits a little snug into my GBA.Load times at the start can be a little slow for large roms, but once its loaded into memory, it stays there until you switch off the gba.
Other Thoughts: This is my first flash card for a video game system, and overall, I'm impressed. It can even play movies and music (if properly converted.)a 1gb minisd card has over 300 roms on it, and its only ~60% full...
Bottomline: Why take all your game cartridges with you, when you only need one? This is an excellent deal, for ~$28 you can be up and running with a 1gb card as well (depending on prices where you live)
Pros: Excellent build quality, charge fast in the soshine charger i bought with these (sku 6152)Hold charge long, cheap price
Cons: none, really. Not much to go wrong with batteries, besides exploding. (these have not, and i hope they don't in the future.)
Other Thoughts: Excellent price, equivalent batteries in canada are ~15 for TWO this is $6 for 4... can't beat that.I would definitely be interested in a set of AA's or two now.
Bottomline: If you need AAA's, get 'em. Can't beat the price or quality.I would also recommend the charger (6152) for best results.
Pros: Quick Charge, roughly the same time as my panasonic charger...Takes both AA or AAA and up to 4 of each (my panasonic is 4aa or only 2 aaa)
Cons: Makes a weird whine/tone almost as if its rhythmic.. (not a solid whine) Can get annoying, but I just threw it under my desk to muffle it a bit.Power cord is European/Chinese (i dunno, lol)A standard 2 prong NA plug / "figure 8" connector cable works fine
Other Thoughts: Those with less sensitive hearing may not even hear the whine. Usually after age 20 people lose this hearing range, so who knows?
Bottomline: Good charger, decent price, the LCD display is a bonus, you know which one is charged and can remove only 1, instead of waiting for the whole set to charge.
Pros: Low price (similar models would be ~$30-40 in a store here.Excellent quality, seems sturdy and won't break. 5-led's are brightcharging feature's an added bonus, though I doubt i'd use it (plugs included)no batteries needed! A small amount of winding provides a good long light time.
Cons: Siren's pretty useless to me, and you can't use the red led's as a flashlight only (they turn on w/ the siren.)
Other Thoughts: Nice small size, easy to keep handy in car glovebox or wherever
Bottomline: Get one, you won't regret it! ;)
Pros: Works with my samsung a-640!I bought it on a whim, to see if it would work, so I'm happily surprised.
Cons: Drivers were hard to install on one computer (i didnt use this CD however.) but worked fine on another
Other Thoughts: Works fine with a640 using the instructions here:http://www.howardforums.com/archive/topic/983423-1.htmlI got a grey cable. Perhaps I received sku 2159 by mistake? (the bag is labelled 2145, however.)It contains a grey cable like 2159 and the Cd is also labelled EasyStudio 2.0.
Bottomline: Get it for your D500 or A640! Works for both! Perhaps more models as well.
Pros: Very brightMuch sturdier than other flashlights i bought locally (For alot more money!)LED's are bright white (the other ones I bought locally had a bluish tinge)Excellent weight and build quality. No 'dead' LED's.
Cons: The threads need a little working to get them just right, other than that, no cons as far as I can tell.
Other Thoughts: Excellent flashlights. If i didn't already have a ton, I'd buy more.Good to have laying around in case of power outage.Stock up on some cheap AAA's too!
Bottomline: If you need cheap, good flashlights, these are the ones.
Pros: Great sound, greater price
Cons: Bass is a little light, but I'm not a bass person. ;)
Other Thoughts: Paid $13.50 CDN in store for the EXACT SAME PAIR (well, different colour) vs. $4 here? Great Deal.
Bottomline: Awesome deal, get a couple pairs so you always have some with you.
Pros: Small, Cheap, Good quality.
Cons: Software in chinese, therefore hard to configure ;)
Other Thoughts: Should be okay with another software program.
Bottomline: Good Product. Would'nt work with my cell phone (but that's the phone, not the dongle.)
