I am not looking for anything fancy, just want some clever way to prevent that easy record button up top from pressing in my pocket. Any makeshift solutions with stuff around the house? Today I came home and there were about 12 pocket recordings ranging from a few seconds... to 45 minutes. Not a good use of the battery. Also I found a thread with directions as to how to remove the time (I have the white lines top left) but I do not remember what product forum it was in. If someone can link me that would be great because I have been searching and can't seem to find it.

there are several about the time / date and realy not too many spy pen's ;)
as to your problem, its not as complex as it sounds, i'm assuming that your pocket recordings are because the pen is inside your pocket rather than clipped on where it could record? if so its not that bad and can easily be sorted.
find something that is made from fairly flexible plastic, create a "tube" that fits around your pen, make sure the tube is long enough to stick about 1cm above the pentop and runs to below the pocket clip at the bottom, now cut a slot in the plastic that way you can slide it up the pen and the slot will allow it to stick out above the top with the bottom of the slot against the top of the pocket clip and be held in place by the bottom of the pocket clip, to use your pen just slide off the tube downwards.
ok so its not going to win any design awards but it should stop your pocket recordings.

Thank you for the help, but regarding the time, I have the version of the pen with the "Movie" folder, and all I have managed to do was reset the time all the back to 1980... I can't even fix it using the same .txt file, and I definitely cant remove it. Can you just point me in the right direction?
EDIT: I fixed the time so that it is correct, but I still would like to know how to remove the time completely. I changed it by using 2009-01-24 12:48:30 in the userconfig.txt file. and placing it next to the movie folder

I tried a blank userconfig file. And I tried the no as well, but that is for a different model. When I try it for this pen it just resets the time to 1980.
