Subject: Pen not recognized anymore?

It worked before, I even test filmed something. (quality was much worse than the sample vids, but I guess I have a different model since I couldnt update the firmware, that a different problem though.) Anyways, after filming till the battery ran dead, I tried plugging it in with no go. I tried holding down the power button while being plugged in for quite a while, Ive tried resetting it multiple times. basically I've been fiddling around with it all day but no idea what else there is I can do besides the power while plugged in or reseting trick. I really hope its not defective, I have some footage at a concert I really want to see.

Hold reset button or record button and plug in to PC.
