Subject: DP9 Video Pen Not Working

I purchased the (SKU 18088) Rechargeable Digital VGA-Quality Pin-hole Spy Video Camera +USB Drive Disguised as Working Pen (4GB). I charged it for over 9 hours waiting for the LED to stop flashing (indicates full charge according to the awkwardly worded instructions). I tried to record (again according to the instructions) and afterward tried the pen in 3 different computers. All of them stated that the USB device was not working. After taking the pen out of the USB socket, the LED remained on for an undetermined time, during which the unit would not respond to the switch...i.e., I could not shut it off, record, or anything. Eventually the LED shut off. Then the unit would not switch on.

Am I doing something wrong or is this unit bad?

Probably bad, most of them are, I think it's the luck of the draw if you get a good one !

The product is very fragile and breaks easily. In the second battery charge was too hot and damaged. DX should take this into account and communicated to the manufacturer. Advised to take into account before purchasing the product that is easy to think that this is defective or damaged in a short time.
Of course for the price you can not ask much.

Mine does the same - still works - I never charge it anymore - it gets charged only when it in hooked to the computer - i got a 12 volt - to usb plug from dx that will charge it in the car - also got a cheap 110v to usb for outlets - a little crappy on the audio but I think it is a good buy overall - that is probably why is is so cheap - mite not have passed QA for the big guys so dx picked 'em up. Even though the light keeps flashing - i am still happy with the way it works. Have been using it on a daily basis and the only problem I had is if you twist the end too hard - the camera eye will move - just don't let anyone try to use it.
