This little light is powered by one 14500 battery. The body is a little flimsy as the aluminum alloy material is quite skinny, and is significantly thinner than that of the Rexlight and our other lights. That can be both good and bad though as this light is otherwise very compact and very light in weight (1.1oz / 30g). In my opinion this is great to travel with because of the extreme lightness and the ability to take commonly found AA batteries. Unlike its AA cousin, this 14500 flashlight does get pretty hot (max at 113'F / 45'C) after 5 to 10 minutes of use. The AA version gets to only 97'F / 36'C.
