The main difference between this unit and the DSD charger is that the UltraFire has two separate charging channels. This is a huge difference as you can now safely charge two batteries with different capacity or charge state.

On the downside, this UltraFire unit does require a spacer to charge CR123A and CR2 batteries. It is not available yet but it will be here soon. For now, a piece of a metal (such as paper clip) can be used as a spacer.

** Report on recessed contacts: Customer Ron reported that the positive nodes of the charger is overly recessed into the top of the unit causing problems charging some 18650 batteries and a workaround for this is to bend a paperclip and use it as a filler between the node and your battery. In the meantime, the Ultrafire 18650 batteries charge fine with this charger as is.

Usage Instructions Return to top
Insert one or two 3.7V batteries to charge. Since the device has two isolated channels, you can simultaneously charge two batteries with different capacities.

* Note: although CR123A/CR2 batteries can be charged by this unit, a spacer is required to insert CR123A/CR2 batteries into the slots and this spacer is not included in this package.

An official ultrafire spacer will become available soon as an add-on. In the meantime, you may bend a paper clip to charge CR123A/CR2 batteries.
